“What I took for a lake beyond, Proved the roof of a long shed, Oh how indeed delusive.” The first impression may be Klara Galitsyna is an incredible Russian artist who devoted more than 40 years of her life to art. During her long artistic path she was trying to master many complex subjects with her art, constantly finding creative ways to express herself, to free herself from any limitations. Even now at the age of 80 she is continuously challenging herself developing her style and expanding her art medium creating new styles with her paintings and even poetry. “Creative experiment" - this is how one can describe her life and her development as an artist. ”There are two people living in harmony inside me, two artists. One wants to reveal her essence; the other wants to ignore it, obscure it, relinquish it to nature. And both artists need release, embodiment in art” says Klara of herself. These dual characters reveal the main impulse behind her art work. Her first side wants to take and replicate everything from nature, the other reveal her own voice and character and interpret nature in her own views.
